Guide: working in TSC Immo in German

Step by step: activate German, set each user's language, and read leases, statements and indexations in that language, with Belgian lease vocabulary.

All immo_* modulesOdoo 19 Enterprise

Prerequisites: administrator rights to add a language. Profile: any user, once the language is activated.

Step 1 · Add the language

Open Settings > Translations > Languages, then add German. TSC Immo delivers 3,118 translated labels across the eleven modules: fields, menus, messages and Belgian lease vocabulary, including Mietvertrag (lease), Ortsbeschreibung (inventory and condition report), Mietgarantie (rental deposit), Nebenkostenabrechnung (service charge statement), Verteilerschlüssel (allocation key), Indexierung (indexation), Immobilienvorabzug (property tax, précompte immobilier) and Katastereinkommen (cadastral income).

Step 2 · Set the user's language

On each user's record, set the language to German. Everyone then works in their own language, on the same data: a property manager in Eupen in German, her colleague in Liège in French.

Step 3 · Work in German

The lease record, the service charge statement and the indexations are displayed in German. On the demonstration database, the Terrasses du Parc statement balances identically in both languages: €9,917.91 tenants' share and €798.69 owner's share make €10,716.60 of service charges.

Step 4 · Two users, two languages

Two users see the same lease, each in their own language. Messages already written in the history remain in the language in which they were written, as everywhere in Odoo.

What is not yet coveredDocuments sent to the tenant (statement, indexation notice, lease) are not yet sent in the tenant's language: this is a future work item. This guide covers the interface and the users.
